Herndon Hosts Activities For Farmers Market Week
Farmers market patrons can enjoy chef demonstrations, kids activities and more during the special event.
National Farmers Market Week happens Aug. 5-11, and the Herndon Farmers Market will get in on the fun.
The event will take place Thursday, Aug. 9 from 8 a.m.-12:30 p.m. in the 700 block of Lynn Street by Red Caboose. Patrons can enjoy games, kids activities, chef demonstrations and free gift basket raffles. Herndon is among seven Fairfax County-operated farmers markets participating in the national celebration.
The county farmers markets offer a variety of fresh products such as produce, meats, cheese, eggs, jams, and honey. The markets are producer-only, which means the vendors grow or make from scratch everything they bring to market. All farmers and producers are within 125 miles of Fairfax County.
