Herndon Kmart is Shutting Down: Report
The Kmart on Elden Street reportedly has been tapped for closure by parent company Sears.

HERNDON, VA — Say goodbye to the Kmart at 494 Elden Street in Herndon: parent company Sears has announced that it's on a new list of stores scheduled to close, according to a report.
Business Insider reports that the Kmart is among 17 Kmart stores nationwide to close. In addition, the report states that 11 Sears stores will close.
Sears has shuttered hundreds of stores in recent years as plunging sales continue to put pressure on the company to cut costs and deal with growing debts.

The Herndon store, as well as the others on the new list, will likely shut down in July or August.
