Herndon Labor Day Festival to Feature Wine and Beer Tastings, Live Music

Mark your calendars to head to the Herndon Town Green on Sept. 5.

HERNDON, VA — Kids are heading back to school and the fall is fast approaching -- and that means it's time for the annual Labor Day Festival on the Herndon Town Green.

Mark your calendars for Monday, Sept. 5, for a day of unlimited Virginia wine tastings, craft beers, live music, a craft show and, of course, plenty of food, according to the Herndon website.

Concerts will feature everything from classic rock to blues to Top 40 music for $5 per person. For $20, you'll also get to enjoy wine and craft brew tastings. Additional beer tastings will cost $2 per ticket.

As for town services, there will be no refuse collection on Labor Day. Instead, it will be collected Tuesday, Sept. 6.

The Herndon Centennial Golf Course will remain open on Labor Day from 6:30 a.m. until dark.

The Herndon Community Center will be shut down starting Aug. 29 through Labor Day for annual cleaning and maintenance, although offices will be open through Sept. 2.
