Town Leaders Meet With VA Colleagues To Get Fresh Ideas To Bring Back To Herndon

HERNDON, VA — Mayor Sheila Olem, Councilmembers Signe Friedrichs and Jasbinder Singh, Town Manager Bill Ashton and Town Attorney Lesa Yeatts have been in Leesburg since Sunday, attending the annual Virginia Municipal League (VML) conference.

VML is a statewide, nonpartisan nonprofit that helps local governments advocate in the Virginia General Assembly. Its membership is made up of 37 cities, 168 towns, and eight counties.

For town's elected officials, the annual VML conference is an opportunity to meet with other municipal leaders from across Virginia and pick up some new ideas to bring back to Herndon, according to an email from Anne Papa Curtis, Herndon's chief communications officer.
