Herndon Man Accused of Sexual Relationship with Child: Police
Police arrested 20-year-old Kevin A. Ayala Mendoza after an underage girl stated she had consensual sex with him.
HERNDON, VA — A Herndon man has been arrested after police say he had sex with an underage girl.
Police arrested 20-year-old Kevin A. Ayala Mendoza on Nov. 27 in the 1200 block of Elden Street after a "juvenile female victim stated that she had consensual sexual relations with an adult male," according to a report from the Herndon Police Department.
Mendoza faces a charge of sexual assault and is being held at the Fairfax County Adult Detention Center.

Virginia law states that individuals who are 17 years old or younger are not legally able to consent to sexual activity.
