Investigators: Fire Intentionally Set, Herndon Man Charged

The man, 57, set fire to a landscaped area of bushes near an apartment building Wednesday afternoon, according to Fairfax fire officials.

Fire investigators have accused a 57-year-old Herndon resident Yun Cho Han with intentionally setting an outside fire Wednesday.

Han, who resides at 2541 Wasser Terrace in Herndon, is accused of setting fire to a landscaped area of bushes and grass adjacent to an apartment building at 2521 Wasser Terrace, according to Fairfax County Fire and Rescue.

Han has been charged with Virginia code 18.2-86, otherwise known as a fire capable of spreading, which is a class six felony.

No property damage or injuries were reported at the scene.

The suspect is currently being held in the Fairfax County Adult Detention Center.
