At 8:58 p.m. Friday, officers responded to the 10900 block of Coverstone Drive in Manassas to investigate an assault, the police report stated. The victim, a 24-year-old Dumfries man, told them he was staying with some friends in a nearby apartment when two unknown male suspects were allowed in.

Once inside, they demanded money from the victim. When he refused, the suspects assaulted him, then forcibly took his wallet, the report said. The victim was eventually able to leave the apartment and contact police.

When officers went to that apartment, the occupants tried to close the door on them. Once the officers got inside the apartment, the 17-year-old girl struck one officer in the face. She was arrested without further incident.

Police detectives eventually identitied the suspects involved in the robbery and obtained warrants for their arrest. The suspects were located and arrested without incident.
