Herndon Man Arrested For Robbing Person A Known To Him: Police

HERNDON, VA — Town of Herndon Police arrested a town resident for a robbery that occurred Feb. 20 in the 1000 block of Elden Street, according to the weekly crime report.

Police charged 19-year-old Kelvin Raul Martinez Yates of Herndon with robbing a person that was known to him. Yates was taken to the Fairfax County Adult Detention Center, where he is being held without bond, according to police.

Between Feb. 20 and Feb. 28, there were a total of 152 traffic violations reported in the Town of Herndon, including eight for driving without an operators license, two for driving on a suspended or revoked license and 17 for operating a vehicle while holding a phone.

There were eight reportable crashes in Herndon during the week. Reportable crashes are those that result in $1,500 in property damage and/or cause injury.
