HERNDON, VA — Herndon Police arrested a local man in connection with a sexual assault involving a child, according to the weekly crime report.

Officers charged Grover Barba Justiano, 51, of Herndon, with two counts of indecent liberties with a child and aggravated sexual battery of a victim that is known to him.

The incident took place July 26, in the 500 block of Florida Avenue.

He was taken to the Fairfax County Adult Detention Center, where he is being held without bond.

Between Aug. 10-16, Town of Herndon officers issued 84 traffic summons, including two for driving while intoxicated, 12 with for driving with no operator's license, and one for driving on a suspended or revoked license.

There were six reportable traffic accidents in Herndon. Virginia State Police define "reportable crashes" as those that result in $1,500 in property damage and/or injury.
