Herndon Man Flees Into Nearby Hotel After Stealing Merch: Police

Police have charged the man with grand larceny after the incident in Sterling.

STERLING, VA -- A Herndon man faces a charge of grand larceny after an incident in Sterling on Friday.

Deputies responded to a reported larceny in progress from a store in the 46200 block of Potomac Run Plaza at around 8:18 a.m., and tracked down the suspect at a nearby hotel, according to a report from the Loudoun County Sheriff's Office.

Police arrested 32-year-old Cristian D. Hernandez-Mejia of Herndon on a grand larceny charge. He is being held without bond at the Loudoun County Adult Detention Center.
