Herndon Man Sexually Assaulted Child: Police
A Herndon man faces charges over a relationship that began last summer, police say.

A Herndon man has been charged after engaging in an "inappropriate sexual relationship" with a juvenile that began last summer, police say.
Police charged 20-year-old Marvin D. Ramirez-Ayala with three counts of sending sexually explicit messages to a minor over social media and two counts of sexual assault, according to a report from the Loudoun County Sheriff's Office.
The relationship allegedly began last August.

"There is no indication the suspect was involved with any other juveniles," the report states. "The age of the juvenile is not being released to protect the identity of the victim."
Ramirez-Ayala remains in jail without bond.
