Herndon Man Killed In Vape Shop Shooting

The alleged shooter was arrested on scene at the Great Falls business.

GREAT FALLS, VA—A Herndon man was shot and killed by an acquaintance during a dispute at a Great Falls Vapology101 store Thursday night, Fairfax County Police say. Bao Hung Van was found and pronounced dead on scene.

Police responded to the fatal shooting around 7:40 p.m. in the 10100 block of Colvin Run Road. The suspect, Manvinder Aulakh, 22, of McLean, remained at the business and was taken into custody. He has been charged with murder and use of a firearm in the commission of a felony and is being held without bond at the Fairfax County Adult Detention Center.

The shooting was not a random incident, and police do not believe anyone else was involved. There is no threat to the public at this time. Police continue to investigate the circumstances leading up to the shooting.
