Herndon Man Robbed 4 Banks In 1 Week: Report
Bruce Wayne Higgins pleaded guilty to knocking off four banks in New Jersey and Maryland.
HERNDON, VA — A Herndon man has admitted to robbing four banks over a span of just a week in two states, according to a report.
The Associated Press reports that Bruce Wayne Higgins has pleaded guilty in federal court in Camden, N.J. to robbing two banks in Baltimore and two in New Jersey over a week in December 2016.
Higgins gave a teller a note that read "GUN IN Pocket, MONEY NOW or -BANG-" during a robbery in Ocean City, the report states.

He also reportedly tried to rob an Atlantic City bank but fled in a taxi after a teller tripped the alarm. After trying to pull the same stunt at a nearby bank shortly after with the same note, he was arrested with money by Atlantic City police.
Higgins could spend up to 20 years in prison if convicted.
