Herndon Man Wins Lottery Jackpot

HERNDON, VA -- A Herndon man scored the top prize playing the Virginia Lottery's Ford Expedition Plus $100K game, meaning he drove off with lots of cash in a brand new truck.

Santos Munguia Matute received the keys to his own Ford Expedition at Koons Sterling Ford in Sterling on Aug. 10 after he bought the winning ticket at Fresh World Herndon at 1070 Elden Street, according to a statement from the Virginia Lottery.

The Ford Expedition Plus $100K game offers prizes ranging from $5 to the top prize. Those who don't win can be entered in a second chance lottery promotion for a chance at the top prize. The odds of getting the top prize are 1 in 1,387,200, while the odds of winning any prize is 1 in 4.16.
