Herndon Mayor Lisa Merkel visits Hopkins House's Innovative Preschool Academy

Herndon Town Mayor Lisa C. Merkel visited Hopkins House's Innovative Preschool Academy on Thursday, August 11th. Innovative Preschool Academy was so excited to have Mayor Merkel visit the school and classrooms. Mayor Merkel inspired the Jr.Kprep classroom to elect their own class mayor and the Kprep discovered that with enough hard work and determination, one of them may become the Mayor when they grow up. Our Toddlers shared their paintbrushes while painting paper and their whole arms! The infants enjoyed reading stories as Mayor Merkel's warm and caring manner made her an instant hit with our youngest children! Located off Herndon Parkway, Innovative Preschool Academy, a non-profit child care center, is open year round from 6:30 AM to 6:30 PM, serving children ages 6 weeks through 5 years old.
