Herndon Police Investigating Shot Fired Into Home

Herndon Police are investigating a shooting incident, an attempted robbery of a cab driver and two assaults.

HERNDON, VA -- Officers from the Town of Herndon Police Department are investigating the report of someone shooting into a home on Saturday, Jan. 4, in the 1100 block of Lopez Lane, according to the weekly crime report.

Other major incidents in the Town of Herndon include:

  • Assault: A suspect known to the victim assaulted them inside a vehicle near the 800 block of Knoll Drive on Monday, Dec. 30. Police arrested Kiambrae Parker, 21, and charged him Assault. He was taken to the Fairfax County Adult Detention Center.
  • Assault-Aggravated: A victim reported that he was attacked by multiple assailants and struck in the face with a chain on Wednesday, Jan. 1, in the 1100 block of Elden Street. The victim was taken to an area hospital with minor injuries. Police are investing this case.
  • Robbery: The victim told police that he was driving three male suspects in a cab in the 900 block of Third Street, on Friday, Jan. 3, when they tried to rob him. The suspects failed to take the driver's property before leaving the cab. Police are investing this case.

During the week of Jan. 1-7, Town of Herndon officers issued 126 traffic summons, including 2 for driving while intoxicated, 6 for driving with no operators license, and 2 for driving on a suspended license.

There were 12 reportable traffic accidents in Herndon during the week. Virginia State Police define "reportable crashes" as those that result in $1,500 in property damage and/or injury.
