HERNDON, VA -Tis' the season for online shopping! Besides Amazon, sites like Facebook, LetGo and even Craigslist remain popular sites for people to buy goods. While most purchases are safe, not everyone has your best interest at heart.

A person who has plans to rob you or commit a crime under the false pretense of meeting to exchange a sale item will most likely not want to meet at a police department.

To make sure you don't become a crime victim this holiday season, the Herndon Police Department has created a safe place for people to meet for exchanging payment or goods.
