Herndon Police Want You to Bring Them Your Drugs

Authorities are pushing Herndon residents to get rid of their unused and expired prescription drugs.

HERNDON, VA — The Herndon Police Department wants you to hand your drugs over to them. Don't worry, it's OK.

The Herndon Police Department is providing locals with an opportunity to dispose of their potentially dangerous expired, unused and unwanted prescription drugs for the 12th National Drug Take Back Day this Saturday, Oct. 22. The police department is located at 397 Herndon Parkway.

"Don't forget to check your medicine cabinets, bedside drawers, and anywhere else you may keep medication," the police department says on its Facebook page. "This Saturday we will have officers available in the lobby at the police station ready to collect your expired and unused medications as part of the 12th National Drug Take Back Day. Please remember we cannot accept needles or liquids."
