Herndon Resident Awakens To 2 Men Walking In His Home

HERNDON, VA -- A Herndon resident had a terrifying experience early Monday morning when he awoke to the sound of someone walking in his home.

The resident "heard someone opening a bedroom window, follow by the sound of someone walking in his home" in the 12200 block of Parkstream Terrace at around 2:30 a.m., according to a report from the Fairfax County Police Department.

"He looked down the hallway and saw two men dressed in black clothing with flashlights," the report states. "The resident called police and the two men ran out the front door. Nothing was taken, but the window was damaged."

Police are investigating.
