Herndon Resident Startled by Burglar: Police
A Herndon resident caught a man trying to break into his house on Monday evening.

HERNDON, VA — A Herndon resident was relaxing at home when he was startled by a man trying to break into his home.
Police say that at around 5:30 p.m. on Jan. 9 in the 2600 block of Concorde Court, a resident "heard someone trying to gain entry through a sliding glass door," according to a report from the Fairfax County Police Department.
After going to check out the sound, he witnessed a man trying to open the door. When the suspect spotted him, he fled.

Police described the suspect as white, about 5 feet and 7 to 8 inches tall, having a thin build and sporting a dark beard.
