Herndon Used Bike Collection Scheduled For Sunday, Sept. 14

20th Annual Herndon Friends Meeting Used Bike Collection Supporting Bikes For The World

The Herndon Friends Meeting is holding its 20th Annual Used Bike Collection on Sunday, Sept. 14, from noon to 3 pm. The collection will be held rain or shine at the Herndon Friends Meetinghouse, 660 Spring Street in Herndon, across the street from the old firehouse and near Jimmy’s, just off the center of town. We are accepting adult and kids bikes, parts and sewing machines. Equipment should be rideable, usable or easily repairable. Bike frames are OK if they are in decent condition. We area asking $10 per bike to defray shipping costs, All contributions are tax deductible. The collection is on behalf of Bikes for the World, a registered 501(c)(3) non-profit organization based out of Arlington, Virginia. BfW has collected and shipped over 96,000 bikes in the last 20 years and is the largest bike re-use organization in the United States. Come support a great organization!
