The German Embassy says Herndon's WinterMarkt, which is sponsored by the Dulles Chamber, is one of the best German-style markets in the U.S.

HERNDON, VA -- Those who attended the 2019 Herndon WinterMarkt on Saturday, Dec. 14, may have realized they were enjoying a traditional German-style Christmas Market, but they probably didn't know that the event would get a seal of approval — or at least a recommendation — from the German Embassy in Washington, D.C.

The embassy included Herndon's annual holiday festival in its list of German-style Christmas Markets in the United States in a November blog post.

While the 2019 WinterMarkt has come and gone, we can still enjoy some photos of the day provided by the Dulles Regional Chamber of Commerce, which sponsors the annual event.
