HERNDON, VA — Herndon Police arrested Marian Jose Acuna Palma, 27, of Herndon, and charged her with aggravated assault, according to the weekly crime report.

Acuna Palma is accused of stabbing a victim who was known to her on July 21, in the 1000 block of Elden St. The victim received treatment at Fair Oaks Hospital for non-life-threatening injuries.

Police transported Acuna Palma to the Fairfax County Adult Detention Center. She is being held without bond.

Between July 20-26, Town of Herndon officers issued 62 traffic summons, including 2 for driving while intoxicated, nine for driving with no operator's license, and one for driving on a suspended or revoked license.

There were four reportable traffic accidents in Herndon. Virginia State Police define "reportable crashes" as those that result in $1,500 in property damage and/or injury.
