Herndon Woman Nominated for Pulitzer Prize in Poetry

A resident of Herndon, VA and poet, Terry Kelly Jones has recently been nominated for a Pulitzer Prize for Poetry for her published book My Words, My Thoughts, My Heart Songs.

Jones has been writing for decades but has never had a book published until now. This book of poetry is an anthology of her poems that she has written over the past 50 years. Her poems
are not complicated but instead aim to address feelings and her aim is 100% dead on. Jones’s poems will make you smile, laugh aloud, shed a tear or two and touch your heart with her simple messages, the greatest one being her love of life.

Her books are available everywhere books are sold such as Herndon's own bookstore A Thousand Stories located in the ARTS Herndon building (750 Center Street, Herndon), Barns and Noble, Books A Million, Amazon in book form and on iBook, Kindle, and Nook if an electronic format is preferred.
