Herndon's Haunted House is Shutting Down After One More Halloween Season

Bradley Farm Haunted House is ending operations after 10 years of scaring locals.

HERNDON, VA — For the past decade, Bradley Farm Haunted House has been scaring Herndon locals and visitors alike, but that will all come to an end after this Halloween season.

The haunted house will be open on Friday, Oct. 28 from 6 until 10 p.m. and on Saturday, Oct. 29 from 1 to 5 p.m. for kids and 6 to 10 p.m. for everyone else. The haunted house has opened every year for Halloween since 2007, but Timothy Kelly, Bradley Farm Haunted House's corporate donations coordinator, said this will be their final season, and they wanted to go out on a "high note."

The haunted house offers chills for the whole family this Halloween -- and while it's meant to be scary, don't worry about it being too intense.

"Even though we aim to terrify (and we usually do), there are no gross-out gory haunts," the website states. "And we have a special kids haunt with a milder scare and lots of kids activities on Saturday from 1-5pm. Starting in 2007, each year we set out to provide a fun but chilling Halloween event that the whole family can enjoy. Each year we have added new fun. We hope you enjoy our event and have a terrific, scary Halloween!"

Entry is $5 and all proceeds benefit Herndon-Reston FISH, a charity that has helped local residents in short-term crises since 1969. Kelly said he hopes generous donations this season will allow them to "go out with one last big donation."
