The Town Council will hold two public hearings on budget in April.

The Herndon Town Council held a public hearing on Feb. 10 to solicit citizens’ input on programs and services to be included in the town’s Fiscal Year 2016 Budget.
Additionally, citizens may provide input directly via an online comment form.

On the town government’s website, Mayor Lisa Merkel says early input from citizens is an important part of the budget development process. “As we consider resource allocation for the next fiscal year, we encourage citizens to share with us their views on programs and services that are most important to them,” Merkel said.
By April 1, Town Manager Art Anselene will deliver to the Town Council a proposed FY 2016 budget. The council will then conduct two public hearings on the proposed budget, at its April 14 and April 28 meetings. The town’s FY 2016 budget must be adopted by June 30.
