House Erupts in Flames in Herndon Neighborhood: Report

Firefighters were dispatched to a home on Parkstream Terrace Monday night.

HERNDON, VA — Everyone escaped safely after a house in a quiet Herndon neighborhood went up in flames late Monday night.

Northern Virginia Fire Buffs, which tracks dispatches in Fairfax County and elsewhere in Northern Virginia, reported that units had been dispatched to the 12200 block of Parkstream Terrace in Herndon just before 8 p.m. on Monday night to a report of fire coming from the windows of a single-family home.

When firefighters arrived, they found a two-story home with fire showing from the second floor on one side.

All occupants had been reported out of the house, according to the report.
