Hunting for Easter Eggs? Check Out These Area Events

HERNDON, VA — The Easter Bunny will visit the Reston and Herndon area in these special events for children and families as the Easter holiday approaches:

Easter Eggstravaganza at Frying Pan Farm Park (for children 1-6 years old) - Saturday, April 8 - Hunt for eggs that contain treats and prizes and visit animals outdoors at the Frying Pan Farm Park Visitor Center. The 45-minute programs for children age one to four begin at 10 and 11 a.m., noon and 1 p.m. Programs for children age one to six begin at 2 and 3 p.m. The cost is $7 per child.

A weather decision will be made by 8 a.m. Saturday, and the make-up date would be Sunday, April 9, at the same hunt times. Frying Pan Farm Park is at 2379 West Ox Road in the Herndon area. For more information, call 703-437-9101.

Easter Egg Hunts at Roer's Zoofari - April 8, 9, 15 and 16, 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. - 1228 Hunter Mill Road in Reston (703) 757-6222. Visit this small, family-friendly zoo and enjoy an Easter egg hunt with pony rides, raffle tickets, candy, face painting, Easter pictures and more!

Town of Herndon Easter Egg Hunt - Saturday, April 15 - Children are invited to bring their parents, cameras, baskets and egg-hunting shoes for a fun-filled morning. Games, arts and crafts, and music will begin at 9:30 a.m., along with a photo opportunity with the Easter Bunny. Registration is $9 in advance or $10 onsite the day of the event (cash or check only).

The event takes place at 777 Lynn St. behind the Herndon Municipal Building. Parking is free and available at various parking areas in downtown Herndon. Event held rain or shine.

Egg Hunt Times:

• Age 5-7, 9:30 a.m.
• Age 3-4, 10:15 a.m.
• Walking-2, 11 a.m.
