Labor Day 2017: What's Open, Closed In Herndon
Labor Day means one last hurrah for cookouts and other summer activities. It also means lots of closures.
Labor Day is right around the corner -- do you have any cookout plans for the unofficial last day of summer? Will you be doing cartwheels (or shedding tears) now that the kids are finally going back to school?
Whatever you're doing, keep in mind that a lot of facilities won't be open on Monday, Sept. 4. Here's a breakdown of what's open and what's closed in Herndon and Fairfax County.
TOWN OF HERNDON

Refuse collection: No refuse collected on Monday, Sept. 4; will be collected on Tuesday instead.

Herndon Centennial Golf Course: Open from 6:30 a.m. until dark.
Herndon Community Center: Closed
Herndon will hold a Labor Day festival from 11 a.m. until 5 p.m. on the Herndon Town Green. More details here.

Public schools: Closed
