Local High Schooler Named Finalist in Nature Photo Contest

The winner will be announced in November at the Nature Visions Photo Expo in Manassas.

The Nature Visions Photo Expo (NPVE) has named eight local finalists in its ongoing Student Photography Contest, including one recent high school graduate from the Herndon area.

Kevin Hackler, a Herndon resident and 2015 graduate of Chantilly High School, actually had two photos nominated as finalists, one of only two finalists with more than one photo in the contest’s “final 10.” Hackler’s photographs are titled Glory and Connections.

The finalists will each receive a $50 gift card from District Camera in Burke, Va., and will now compete for the grand prize: a $100 gift card at district camera and an announcement at the NVPE in Manassas on Nov. 14-15, and a chance to display their work on the NVPE website.
