Major Weather Change In Herndon Is Coming | Weekly Forecast

HERNDON, VA -- It was a pretty lovely weekend in the Herndon area, and that trend is going to continue for the first couple days of this week. But then, that weather will make a dramatic shift, according to forecasts.

The weather will be dry and mild on Monday and Tuesday, but a front is headed our way and will bring with it showers and storms for Wednesday and Thursday. And when those storms leave on Friday, the heat really sets in.

Temperatures today will be absolutely delightful, peaking in the low to mid 80s, and humidity will be pretty low. It will be the same story on Tuesday, with mostly to partly sunny skies both days.

But the Washington Post's Capital Weather Gang sees a warm front followed by a cold front that will bring showers and storms the two days following, with the best chance of rain in the afternoon and evening.

Fortunately, temperatures will stay in the 80s, inching up in to the high 80s, but that humidity will definitely make it feel plenty warmer than it did early in the week.

And Friday and Saturday are going to be hot, with highs getting into the 90s by Friday and perhaps into the mid to upper 90s on both Saturday and Sunday.

So as far as summer weeks go, it could be worse. But you should definitely get out and enjoy the weather early this week while you can.
