HERNDON, VA — Town of Herndon Police are investigation an assault and robbery that occurred recently on Elden Street, according to the weekly crime report.

The victim told police that on June 17, around 9:30 p.m., he was walking near the intersection of Elden Street and Herndon Parkway when he was assaulted by four men who had exited the woods. The four men stole the man's property then fled the scene.

Police described the four suspects as Hispanic men in their early to mid-20s. They were all dressed in black.

Between June 21-27, Town of Herndon police officers issued 106 traffic summonses, including seven for driving with no operator's license, three for driving on a suspended or revoked license, and six for operating a vehicle while holding a phone.

There were eight reportable traffic accidents in Herndon. Virginia State Police define "reportable crashes" as those that result in $1,500 in property damage and/or injury.
