HERNDON, VA — A man was hospitalized over the weekend following a shooting in the Herndon area of Fairfax County.

Officers from the Fairfax County Police Department responded to the report of a shooting early Sunday in the 2500 block of Cornelia Road, according to a social media post.

When police arrived on the scene, they found a man with a gunshot wound to the upper body. The victim was taken to the hospital with life-threatening injuries.
