Man Killed Near Downtown Herndon: Police
Police are investigating after a man with upper body trauma was found near downtown Herndon.

HERNDON, VA -- Police have launched an investigation into the death of a man who was found near downtown Herndon with trauma to the upper body.
Herndon Police officers responded to the 600 block of Clearwater Court at around 1 a.m. on April 5 to a report of an "unresponsive male victim with trauma to his upper body," according to a report from the Herndon Police Department.
Police transported the 45-year-old victim to Reston hospital, where he was pronounced dead at around 2 a.m.

Police are investigating. They say there is no known threat to public safety.
