A jury has recommended a massive prison sentence for Jason L. Brooks, who was convicted of stealing rims in Fairfax and Loudoun counties.

LOUDOUN COUNTY, VA — A jury has recommended that a serial tire and rim thief -- whose crimes spread from Herndon to other areas in Fairfax and Loudoun counties -- be sentenced to more than 137 years in prison for his crimes, according to a report.
The Loudoun Times Mirror reports that a jury has ruled that 38-year-old Jason L. Brooks, who was found guilty last week of a series of tire and rim thefts in 2016, should spend 132 years in prison, 63 months in jail, and pay $6,000 in fines.
Brooks, who is from Maryland, was found guilty on six counts of grand larceny, six counts of larceny with intent to sell, three counts of tampering with an automobile, and three counts of destruction of property.

Over the course of a few months in 2016, many people in Loudoun and Fairfax counties reported that tires and rims had been stolen off their cars in their driveways overnight. Brooks was tied to two incidents in Herndon, one in the 3000 block of Heritage Farm Court and the other in the 13100 block of Bramblewood Lane. Both happened in March 2016, according to Fairfax County Police.
By the time Fairfax County Police charged Brooks with the Herndon thefts earlier this year, he was already in custody in Loudoun County.
