MD Woman Wanted On 2 Murder Warrants Arrested At Dulles Airport
U.S. Customs and Border Protection officers arrested a woman who was wanted in Maryland on first- and second-degree murder charges.

DULLES, VA — A 23-year-old woman who was wanted on first- and second-degree murder charges out of Prince George's County in Maryland was arrested at Washington Dulles International Airport on Saturday, according to a release.
Norma Elizabeth Rivas-Villacorta of Riverdale, Maryland, was detained by U.S. Customs and Border Protection officers, after she arrived on a flight from El Salvador. Once the officers confirmed Villacorta's identify, they took her into custody and then turned her over to the Metropolitan Washington Airports Authority Police.
Special agents from the FBI and officers from the Prince George's County Police Department were on hand, waiting for Rivas-Villacorta's arrival.

Rivas-Villacorta was charged with first- and second-degree murder in the 2021 fatal shooting of 20-year-old Kayshaun Daly of Riverdale.
Officers responded around 1 p.m., on May 22, 2021, to a home in the 6700 block of Oakland Avenue, for the report of an unresponsive man. Daly was found inside suffering from a gunshot wound. He died from his injury.

Prince George's detectives determine Rivas-Villacorta and Daly were in a relationship at the time of the shooting. A warrant was issue in September 2021, but Rivas-Villacorta had fled the U.S. in the days following Daly's death.
On Tuesday afternoon, Rivas-Villacorta remained in custody in Loudoun County, awaiting extradition to Prince George’s County.
“This arrest illustrates how Customs and Border Protection’s border security mission helps our law enforcement partners capture dangerous wanted persons and return them to face their charges,” said Daniel Escobedo, area port director for CBP’s Area Port of Washington, D.C., in a release.
On average, CBP officers arrest 25 wanted criminals a day at U.S. borders and ports of entry across the country.
