Truck Strikes Plane at Dulles Airport: Reports

Authorities reportedly questioned the driver of a small truck that struck an airliner parked on a runway Monday morning at Dulles Airport.

Airport officials said the truck, used to deice planes, clipped the wingtip of a Delta Airlines Boeing 717 around 7 a.m., according to a report by the Washington Post.

There were no reports of injuries, media reports said, and passengers got off the plane. Officials say Flight 1160 from Washington, D.C. to Atlanta was canceled and passengers were to be placed on another flight, according to WRC-TV Channel 4.
