Memorial Day 2018 Free Food, Discounts In Virginia, DC

WASHINGTON, DC — This Memorial Day weekend, there's a wealth of free meals and discounts for active duty military personnel in Virginia and Washington, D.C. We've rounded up a few both military-specific, as well as deals for the general public.

Memorial Day is one of the biggest family and shopping weekends of the year. If you are active duty military or a veteran, check to see if military discounts are applicable all year long. Most require some form of ID or proof of service. Being in uniform is sometimes good enough, but double check first. Free, Cheap Food For Vets & Active Military

Golden Corral: Check your location, as some Golden Corral restaurants are offering 50% off your check, and 10% off for guest's meals.

Hooters: How would you like your wings? Hooters will offer vets and active duty military personnel a complimentary meal on Memorial Day. Must have a valid military ID. Choose from eligible entrees.

McCormick & Schmick's: This restaurant offers vets, parents and spouses (and those of active duty, as well) a free entree on May 28.

Outback Steakhouse: Until May 28, all veterans and active duty servicemen and women will receive 20% off of your check.
