HERNDON, VA — Herndon Police Department is investigating a commercial burglary that took place Friday on Elden Street, according to the weekly crime report.

Shortly after 5 a.m., unknown suspects forced their way into a business in the 300 block of Elden St., and stole an undisclosed amount of money.

This case remains under investigation.

Between Sept. 7-13, Town of Herndon police officers issued 117 traffic summons, including two for driving while intoxicated, 6 for driving with no operator's license, and five for driver on a suspended or revoked license.

There were seven reportable traffic accidents in Herndon. Virginia State Police define "reportable crashes" as those that result in $1,500 in property damage and/or injury.
