Muggy, Nasty Week Ahead For Herndon

The rain is gone for the most part, but storms could enter the forecast.

HERNDON, VA -- After a couple of very rainy weeks, we now get to the muggy and sticky part of summer in the Herndon area.

The Washington Post's Capital Weather Gang and the National Weather Service predict a hot and humid week ahead with the possibility of stray showers here and there. Expects temperatures to top out in the low to mid 90s most days.

Fortunately, we may cool off a bit later this week, but it'll start Monday with mostly sunny skies and highs near 94 degrees in the region. The heat index may soar to 101, and an isolated shower or thunderstorm may pop up in the afternoon.
