Multiple Assault On Police Charges Filed Against Herndon Man: Report
A 40-year-old Town of Herndon resident faces multiple charges, including assault of a police officer and destruction of property.

HERNDON, VA — A 40-year-old Herndon man was arrested for assault in connection with a recent attempted carjacking in the Town of Herndon, according to the weekly crime report.
Town of Herndon Police say that just before 2 p.m, on Nov. 7, Lafonte Hogan assaulted a police officer who responded for the report of a robbery in the 600 block of Center Street.
Hogan was taken into custody and charged with aggravated assault of a police officer, simple assault of a police officer, simple assault, and destruction of property, according to police.

Police took Hogan to the hospital, where he was treated for minor injuries. They then transported him to the Fairfax County Adult Detention Center, where he is being held without bond.
