HERNDON, VA — Town of Herndon Police arrested a father and son for multiple sexual offenses against a victim younger than 13, according to the weekly crime report. The victim was known to both suspects.

On Sept. 11, police charged 45-year-old Alexander Alvarado Sanchez of Herndon with rape, sodomy, aggravated sexual battery, and indecent liberties with a child. Police also charged Sanchez's son, 21-year-old David Isai Alvarado Requeno of Leesburg, with rape, sodomy, and indecent liberties, according to police.

Both Sanchez and Requeno are being held in the Fairfax County Adult Detention Center.

Herndon Police also arrested 44-year-old Taron Timothy Stewart of Washington, D.C. in connection with a 2018 assault that occurred inside a Herndon home, according to the crime report.

The victim was sleeping on a couch in his home in the 700 block of Cordell Way on Nov. 26, 2018, when police say Stewart entered the home, woke the victim, and began assaulting him. The victim was taken to Reston Hospital to be treated for his injuries.

Police charged Stewart on outstanding warrants for malicious wounding and burglar, in connection with this case.
