My dad, in my words

My name is Robin Mullet, and I am so proud of my father, Tom Rust. My father is a man of integrity and hard work who has always put his family and his community first.  

My father is not a politician. He is a statesperson -- because he's focused on ideas instead of politics. That’s why he has been a consistent independent voice for our community, representing us and standing against political pressure to do what is right.  

At a time when partisan gridlock is threatening our nation, my father is helping to set a good example here in Virginia – by putting the interests of his community first regardless of what is happening in Richmond. 

I am discouraged to see that my father's opponent is waging a partisan, negative campaign against him when she had made clear that she looked forward to a positive, policy-focused debate, but it does show a very clear difference between them. 

His opponent is focused on partisan politics. My father is focused on good policy and problem-solving.

I ask you to join me this November 5th in support of a man, my father, who will continue to work hard to make Virginia an even better place to live.
