Naked Man In Herndon Identified By Police

HERNDON, VA -- Police have identified the man who went crazy after a crash, stripped naked, and then jumped on a truck in the middle of rush hour on Tuesday. In addition, new video (embedded below) shows how the incident escalated.

Police identified the man as 32-year-old Jose Gonzalez Flores of Sterling, who was involved in a crash with two different cars while headed south on Sully Road near Frying Pan Road, according to a new report from the Fairfax County Police Department.

"After the crash, Gonzalez Flores then assaulted one of the drivers involved in the crash before returning to his pick-up truck and throwing items onto Sully Road," the report states. "He then stripped off his clothing and began running into traffic. While in traffic, Gonzalez Flores jumped on a passing truck and broke its window. The truck safely stopped, and Gonzalez Flores ran from the scene."

Police found him later in a drainage ditch on Dulles Airport property. He was admitted to the hospital with injuries that were not life-threatening.

"Officers obtained warrants for two counts of felony hit and run, throwing an object at a moving vehicle, destruction of property, assault and battery, indecent exposure, disorderly conduct, and possession of marijuana," the report states. "It is unknown at this time if Gonzalez Flores experienced a medical emergency after the accident or was under the influence of drugs or alcohol. The outstanding warrants would not be served until he is released from the hospital."
