Some of the artists’ work is featured at local galleries and businesses, and Negri is a life member of the Washington Society of Landscape Painters. Herman won an honorable mention for one of her plein air watercolors at ArtSpace’s “Paint Herndon” competition last year. Robinson had an oil painting that was displayed in Germany and Hannon won first place for one of her pieces last summer.
The artists will paint demos in the Post Gallery at ArtSpace on Saturday, March 31 from 5-7 p.m., to be followed by the artist reception from 7-9 p.m. The evening will include refreshments and live music by jazz violinist Jerald Daemyon.

Herman, the group’s current president, said they have been together for 10 years and are based out of Chantilly. “We meet monthly on the second Wednesday and get together quite often to paint plein air. We’ve been showing our work in group shows in galleries, local businesses and office spaces, and several of us participate in the many juried art shows in the area,” she said.
The group paints throughout the Washington, D.C. region, including Northern Virginia and Maryland. For more information about the group visit www.NOVALart.com or email lahermanart@cox.net.
The exhibit and reception are free and open to the public. ArtSpace is open Tuesday through Thursday from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.; Friday from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m.; and Saturday and Sunday fro 12 p.m. to 5 p.m. Call 703-956-6590 for more information.
