CHANTILLY, VA — An adult male pedestrian was hospitalized overnight on Sunday after being struck by a car on the Fairfax County Parkway at Stringfellow Road south of the Franklin Farm area, according to police. No other injuries were reported.

Fairfax County Police officers were on the scene around midnight on Sunday investigating a serious car crash involving a pedestrian.

The roadway was closed for several hours to allow investigators examine the crash scene. The road reopened to traffic around 4 a.m.
