Pedestrian Struck On Herndon Parkway, Rushed To Hospital: Police

The woman was crossing the street when a vehicle making a left turn hit her, police say.

HERNDON, VA — A pedestrian was rushed to Reston Hospital Center after being struck by a car on Herndon Parkway last week, police say.

The pedestrian was crossing Herndon Parkway at Ferndale Avenue on Aug. 23 when she was "struck by a vehicle that was making a left turn from Ferndale onto Herndon Pw," according to a report from the Herndon Police Department.

The woman suffered trauma to her head, and she was transported to the Reston Hospital Center emergency room.
