Police Arrest Suspect in Local Bank Robbery

Fairfax County Police have arrested a 21-year-old suspect linked to a robbery at BB&T Bank on Fox Mill Road in the Reston Police District last Wednesday.

Police arrested Nathanael Blackmon, of Herndon, and charged him with bank robbery and use of a firearm in the commission of a felony. He is currently being held at the Fairfax County Adult Detention Center.

Blackmon reportedly walked into the bank at around 4:30 p.m. last Wednesday (Aug. 19), displayed a handgun and demanding money. After collecting cash he fled from the scene on foot, but was eventually tracked down by investigating officers later in the week.
