Police: Bullets Fired At Local Office Building

No injuries reported, but gunfire caused $4,000 in damage, say Herndon police.

An unknown suspect or suspects fired several bullets Thursday through the windows of an office building on Worldgate Drive, according to the Herndon police.

There were no injuries reported, but the vandalism caused about $4,000 in damage to the windows. The police said the incident may have occurred when the building was unoccupied. It’s in the 12000 block of Worldgate Drive.

A similar incident was reported on Friday, July 24, a few blocks away, in the 100 block of Van Buren Street. In that case, a vandal or vandals fired projectiles through an office building window, causing about $2,500 in damage, according to a town police report.

No one was inside the building at the time of the incident, the police said, and there were no injuries reported.
