Police: Herndon Man Assaulted Officers

Herndon police arrested a local man for aggravated assault last week after he allegedly threatened his family and fought with police officers.

Aaron Trevino, 23, of Herndon, was charged with four counts of assault on a law enforcement officer, resisting arrest, threats made over phone, assault on a family member and threat to burn dwelling, according to a Herndon police report.

Police responded on April 6 to an incident at a home in the 500 block of Worchester Street. Trevino had made threats to his family members and threatened to burn their home, the police report said. He assaulted officers when being taken into custody.
